This week John McCain stated that Al Qaeda might intervene in Iraq to assist the Dems in the election. Note to John, but everything GW has done since taking office has been as though he were a puppet pulled by the strings of Al Qaeda and Osama Bin Laden. Al Qaeda would love to have you in office to continue the idiotic policies of our sitting president. By the way, with a statement like that it looks like Karl Rove is advising your campaign. Oh, he is.
And to think, he used to be one of the few Republicans I would have actually considered, however briefly, voting for.
I can’t believe I just admitted that.
I agree, the John McCain of 4 years ago I would have actually considered voting for. He was soundly moderate, and had no qualms about going against the republican party lines on issues he believed strongly about, like torture.
That was the big turning point for me with McCain. Being a former POW himself, I had a lot of respect for him when he first came out against torture and waterboarding. These days, he’s more like Bush’s lap dog, pushing the party line.
What a difference 4 years makes – all in the name of pandering to the far right.
Vote for McCain or the terrorists will eat your children!
Certainly, this is no time for complacency. One wrong vote for an ex-moderate McCain could cost the American people (and the world) change…whether it’s in the form of Hillary or Obama.
I think it would be a blessing for McCain to lose. He’s already endured being a prisoner of war, I can’t fathom that being held prisoner by the Republican Party would be much better. (Aside from the $1,000 plate dinners and fancy digs, but I mean ideologically and psychologically.) May McCain lose in peace and return to his more moderate ways, working with a Democratic president to bring about peace within the country.
Keep on rockin’ in a “free world” (? not currently really “free” — but….you know what I mean.)
